FOR: all having Chinese ancestry under The School‘s Special Pengyou Scholarship (50% for Intensive Course & 25% for Special Chinese Class for Children):

Intensive Course (Qianghua Kecheng) – providing the Student the means (through grammar, character recognition, reading and writing and stroke order), to achieve fluency at the end of the 3-Semester Course (dedication is a must-have word), and, with daily practice be able to confidently converse in, as well as translate and interpret, the language – 70 Sessions per Semester/210 hours/each about 9 months held twice weekly. Please note that this is the First Semester of the Intensive Class. Semester II & III are treated separately. To assist in deeper understanding of Chinese Language & Culture, The School provides deserving Students with the opportunity to visit China on Students' Exchange Programme. It is also recommended that Students, who wish to attain mastery in the language, spend 3 to 12 months in China.

Special Chinese Class for Children (Hanyu Leyuan Shaonianban) - for children between 7 and 12 (51 Sessions/51 hours/8 months) shall be held twice weekly on Wednesdays & Fridays for an hour each from 5.00 pm to 6.00pm. Children are fast learners. At the end of a year, a dedicated Child should be able to understand and speak simple Chinese sentences; be able to sing Chinese children’s song and recite children’s rhymes/simple poems; acquire basic knowledge of Chinese characters and be able to write simple Chinese characters; gain a preliminary understanding of Chinese culture. Our specialist Teachers from China have learnt the art of teaching by making learning an entertainment.
