We are pleased to advise you that Calcutta University, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Institute of Asian Studies and The School of Chinese Language have joined hands to offer an authentic and affordable CERTIFICATE COURSE in Chinese Language to Kolkata's graduates. You may now apply in advance for the next Class.

Basic Applied Chinese Language Course (Zhongwen Jichu Shiyong Kecheng) - a certificate Course offered (for Graduates in any discipline) jointly by The School, Calcutta University & Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Institute of Asian Studies. The Joint Programme lays the foundations of Chinese (Mandarin) language by introducing basic grammatical concepts and useful vocabulary step by step. The Course also aims at building good but basic oral communication skills that are essential in the language learning process – Sessions (60/about 8 months) would be held twice weekly. Course Fee (highly subsidised @ Rs. 300 per month only) is payable every month in advance. A refundable Deposit (please see conditions) of Rs. 5000 is payable at the time of joining, together with application form and admission fees. The Course Fee includes Interactive Sessions with Chinese persons, as well as participation in The Chini Adda. All Study Materials are supplied gratis by The School.
