Dr. Gautam Ghosh, is the son of the legendary Guru of Political Science Late , Dr Ramesh Chandra Ghosh and Lt. Dr Mrs Bela Ghosh–the Ex–Chairperson of West Bengal Public Service Commission, and in the fond memory of his mother he has formed Dr. B G Memorial Trust.

The Trust has has been benevolently serving the Community through various philanthropic programs. The Trust is running School & College and is imparting high quality education to thousands of students (from Secondary to Post Graduation level) for over a decade.

Beyond his criminal defense cases, Dr. Ghosh has also held several important advisory roles and has lectured in prestigious legal Institutions, in short he is a multi dimensional public figure, a voracious speaker, a prolific author, social entrepreneur and an innovator, a philanthropist and an asset to the region in every sense of the word.

He has been recently invited to take the responsibility of the post of Central Advisor of the Central Executive Committee of SAARC Human Rights Foundation, Dhaka which he has accepted with due diligence Dr. Ghosh was pioneering in the team of international election observers in Bangladesh Parliamentary Ekections held in Dec 2018.
